Improve Customer Experience With Great Store Fixtures
Help Customers Visualize How They’ll Use The Product
This is one of the best ways to subconsciously influence customers to make a purchase. Display your items in a way that they would be used outside of the store. For example, great furniture stores will set up ‘rooms’ where you can see each item in action, instead of sorting them by category. This allows you to really visualize what the products could look like in your home.
Keep Your Brand Identity Consistent
Customers really respond to stores that have a strong brand identity that they can connect with. Keep your store’s branding consistent throughout your design, using similar colors and materials that look cohesive. Really think about what you want to say with the visual appearance of your store, and then build off of that to create a great retail design.
Make Things Convenient For Customers
If shoppers can’t find the thing they are looking for, they are going to be much less likely to actually make a purchase. Make sure everything is properly labeled and that key items are within customer sight lines right when they walk in the door. Everything should also be easy to access – customers shouldn’t have to reach or bend down too far to grab the item they need, and they shouldn’t have to rifle through a jumble of items either.
Use Pops of Light or Color to Grab Attention
It’s important to have some featured areas of your store, otherwise, it can all feel overwhelming to your customer. You can do this by using shelf lighting or other lighting techniques to highlight particularly interesting products. Another easy technique is to use pops of color, particularly in an environment that is otherwise very neutral. This will naturally draw the customer’s eye to items that you want to feature.
Don’t Be Afraid to Switch Things Up
If you try a new fixture and you don’t feel like it’s working for you, change it around. You get new products all the time, so why should your decor stay static? Keeping things fresh will make both your customers and employees happy.
These are a few easy ways to improve your customers’ experience in your store. The atmosphere in any retail environment is very important, so make sure you don’t neglect your decor and fixtures.
